The Samos Young Artists Festival 2026 returns to the ancient Theatre of Pythagorion for its 16th edition, welcoming a vibrant community of Greek and international emerging musicians alongside established artists who travel from across the world to meet on the island of Samos. Under the musical direction of Masha Ilyashov and Timotheos Gavrilidis-Petrin, the festival continues its mission of artistic exchange, discovery, and dialogue in one of the Mediterranean’s most historic performance spaces.

The 2026 programme reflects a wide spectrum of musical expression, bringing together contemporary classical, jazz, and cross-genre artists. Audiences are invited to move fluidly between ensemble traditions and highly individual musical voices — from chamber music and brass repertoire to improvisation-driven jazz and genre-blending collaborations — across a week of diverse and thoughtfully curated concerts.

For the first time, the festival takes place from 7 to 14 August, with no concert scheduled on 9 August.
