The Schwarz Foundation, in partnership with the Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, is delighted to announce the 10th season of the Nights of Classical Music at the Gennadius Library at Cotsen Hall, the auditorium of the ASCSA.
Curtis on Tour, the global touring arm of the Curtis Institute of Music, returns to Athens, Greece, to captivate audiences with a chamber music festival, a tradition upheld since 2015. This highly anticipated tour features accomplished Curtis Institute of Music alumni, esteemed for their contributions to the classical music realm.
The award-winning Dover Quartet, Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at Curtis, and the Erinys Quartet, fellowship quartet in the Nina von Maltzahn String Quartet Program, join forces for the Nights of Classical Music at the Gennadius Library in Athens, Greece. This September marks the eighth annual festival of concerts featuring musicians from the Curtis Institute of Music. Performances include an exciting array of repertoire, from Mozart to riveting new works to Mendelssohn’s majestic 'Octet for Strings'.
The tour continues with a performance by the Erinys Quartet in Berlin, performing works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Saariaho.

Notably, the acclaimed Dover Quartet, featuring Joel Link on violin, Bryan Lee on violin, Julianne Lee on viola, and Camden Shaw on cello. Additionally, the Erinys Quartet, comprising Elizabeth Stewart on violin, Joosep Reimaa on violin, Marija Räisänen on viola, and Stergios Theodoridis on cello.

- The Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens is a leading research center for the study of the culture and civilization of Greece. With more than 145.000 rare books, archives, manuscripts, and research materials, the collections shed light on all periods of Greek history. Through public lectures, seminars, symposia, exhibitions, and publications, the Library aims to reach a broader public in order to highlight the importance of Greek culture in the formation of western civilization. - Curtis on Tour is the Nina von Maltzahn global touring initiative of the Curtis Institute of Music. Grounded in the school’s “learn by doing” philosophy, tours feature extraordinary emerging artists alongside celebrated alumni and faculty. In addition to performances, musicians offer master classes, educational programs, and community engagement activities while on tour. Curtis on Tour also manages solo engagements for Curtis artists with professional orchestras and presenters. Since the program was established in 2008, Curtis on Tour ensembles have performed more than 375 concerts in over 100 cities in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
