Nights of Classical Music at the Gennadius Library

The Schwarz Foundation and the Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens are organizing the third festival Nights of Classical Music at the Gennadius Library, with Curtis on Tour, the Nina von Maltzahn Global Touring Initiative, which brings to Athens important musicians of the famous Curtis Institute of Music from September 27 through September 30, 2017. Wednesday, 27 September, 8:30 p.m. Pallavi Mahidhara, piano (’10) Miroirs Maurice Ravel Noctuelles Oiseaux tristes Une barque sur l’océan Alborada del gracioso La vallée des cloches Grandes études de Paganini Franz Liszt No. 1 in G minor: Andante—Non troppo lento No. 2 in E-flat major: Andante—Andantino capriccioso No. 3 in G-sharp minor: La campanella No. 4 in E major: Vivo No. 5 in E major: Allegretto (“La chasse”) No. 6 in A minor: Quasi presto Free Admission with priority tickets. The concerts will take place under the auspices of the U.S. Embassy at Athens and EOT.
