Daniel Nodel was born in 1968 in Minsk. He received his first violin instruction at the special music school in his hometown. After the emigration to Germany with his family in 1980 he was taught by Irina Goldstein and studied with Jens Ellermann in Hannover, his father, Roman Nodel, and Josef Gingold at the Indiana Unioversity in Bloomington, USA. He was a prizewinner at several youth competitions "Jugend musiziert" as well as the Premio Rodolfo Lipizer in Gorozia, Italy. Nodel had scholarships from the DAAD and the prestigios Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.
Further musical impulses came from Dorotha DeLay, Ruggiero Ricci, Felix Andrievsky and Walter Trampler (viola). Daniel Nodel was a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra from 1993-1998, then moved on to the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Nodel appeared as soloist and chamber musician in many countries Europes and in the USA, for example with the Minsk Philharmonic and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras. He is activ as tutor at the Bavarian Youth Orchestra for orchestral and chamber music projects and was primarius in the Wanderer-Quartet with Albena Danailova, Mario Korunic and Yves Savary.
Since 2013 Daniel Nodel is the artistic director of the Samos Young Artist Festival in Greece.
