François Aria started his musicalmusic career on electric guitar and developed his technique within many musical stylesmusic genres, such as blues, jazz and classical. At the age of 16, he discovered traditional Andalusian music and decided to dedicate his talent to flamenco acoustic guitar. Following several journeys to southern Spain and intensive practice, he became a sought-after accompanist for flamenco singers and dancers, and started to compose. In 2013, he won the First Prize at the Manuel de Falla Competition in Granada and in 2014 third place in Albi'sAlbi Flamenco Guitar Competition. He obtainedholds a Master's degree with distinctionMaster in Ethnomusicology from Sorbonne University (Honours) and has been invited to play with famous flamenco figures, such as the dancer José Maya.
