Angela Giannaki studied violin and viola in Athens and London (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Royal College of Music). Her studies were supported by scholarships from Greece and the U.K. She has also been a scholar of the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt. Angela has given concerts in England, Scotland, France, Austria, Denmark, Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus. In 2007–2010, she was the violist of the New Hellenic Quartet, with which she performed numerous concerts in Europe and Turkey, and made several recordings. As soloist, she has performed with most of the major Greek orchestras. She is the violist of the contemporary-music ensemble Ergon. Since 2006, Angela has been the principal viola in the orchestra of the Greek National Opera.
